I am married and have two kids and working in MNC in Delhi. I wanted to buy a hatch as there is lot of traffic and parking problem in Delhi. Since my driving is about 1500 kms/month I looked for petrol version. My priorities were safety, comfort, luxury, mileage, after sales service.
After short-listing polo, i-20, fabia, punto I finally purchased fabia ambiente petrol in march 2011.
The car is a mini tank and very safe on the unfriendly and dangerous traffic these days on the roads. I am very much satisfied with the petrol version with its safety features like heavy strong build quality, dual airbags, luxurious rich interiors, comfortable leggy space, head space, awesome height all packed in the cost of hatch. moreover great to purchase the car around 5.2 lacs due to price reduxn in new fabia and corporate discounts. Moreover the car is with 4 years warranty and service interval of 15, 000 kms, isnt it awesome.
On comparison, the swift vxi (petrol) with ordinary interiors, light body and with-without airbags, tilt/telescopic steering, spkrs, etc. etc is available for Rs. 510, 000 on road Delhi.
i20-sports model petrol is good in style, safety, comfort but price is high as about 6 lacs.
polo-comfortline is with good strong body, looks, comfort is costing at about 5.6 lacs without airbags.
i am very happy to own fabulous fabia at such good price with plethora of essential features.
cons: I have heard tha the maintenace cost is high in comparioson with swift and i20, but my dear friend who would like to compromise on safety when your kids, wife, parents are travelling on the roads where there are all sorts of risk elements with drunkard drivers, reckless/careless youth, poor quality of infrastructure.
conclusion: never compromise on safety and comforrt coz both are price less. I will strongly recommend to everone the all new skoda fabia with pocket friendly cost.
