Eyes are the most beautiful and expressive part of our body but unfortunately they are the first to show the signs of fatigue and ill-health. The skin around it is about ten times thinner than that on the skin and hence it quickly loses it elasticity. This is the reason we must make an extra effort while taking care of our eyes.

  • Vitamin A intake can do wonders for tired eyes. It is found in carrot, tomatoes, lettuce, milk etc.

  • You shouldn't compromise on your eight hours of beauty sleep for the lack of it makes our eyes dull and puffy.

  • Some simple eye exercises can strengthen eye muscles and remove eye strains. *Like: Focussing on the tip of a moving pencil; turning eyes without moving your head.

  • Always apply your eye contour gel with your ring finger so as to exert least pressure. Massage your eyes horizontally and never up and down.

  • Now, this is something we ALL know - Take a couple of slices of cucumber(or potato compress) and rest them on your eyes for 20 minutes.

  • Resting damp tea bags(weak) on eyes for atleast 15 minutes each day will de-puff your eyes in due course.

  • Use cotton balls soaked in salt solution(1 tsp in 1 cup of hot water) to reduce puffiness.

  • Apply chilled rose water to your eyes and think of something pleasant.

  • Drink at least eight glasses of water a day.

  • Avoid applying face pack around your eyes.

  • Don't use old/bad quality eye make-up as it may lead to infections.

If followed properly, these can add a sparkle to your eyes and make you look years younger!
