Shankar, the director of Sivaji -THE BOSS-, is whom all the credits should have gone. After a succesful Anniyan, Shankar come with an excellent resemblance of commercial movie upfronting superstar Rajinikanth himself. As I would say, this movie is quite different from other of Shankar movies as this movie consist more of Rajinikanth's touch more than his. As for Rajinikanth, after his non-stop success from Chandramukhi which is a total different story from Sivaji, he has brought his best showmanship in this movie as his character was changing from time to time and I should say from frame to frame.
The story of Sivaji started when he arrived in the India airport from New York. He is certified computer engineer who studied in America under a scholarship. He steps in India with a high ambition in his heart as his prime priority was his people. Here, he meets up wit Vivek, who had done an excelent job throughout the movie accompanying Rajinikanth in both situation, either happy or sad. He wanted to build a hospital which accomadate the patients in low budget. This suggestion brings problem to Suman who plays baddie in the movie as he was running hospital in the city of Chennai as a bussiness to make money. However, Suman suggested to Sivaji so that he hopes Rajini will give up his ambition to build a hospital and continue building megacomplex indeed to make money. This however was not agreed by the hero and he left the room after challengging Suman that he can do the building without Suman's help. these however brings problem to Sivaji as all the government servants under the circumstances of meeting Sivaji was expectin bribe in order to pass the plan. His friend, Vivek, in order to make Sivaji's ambition come true, explained to Sivaji that no work will be done without the existence of currency. Sivaji agreed to pass out the money to the officers. The construction started and there were few clips in the construction site. This however make Suman angry and made him to meet up with the construction Ministry. The ministry then ordered to stop Sivaji Hospital construction with papers saying that the construction site is belong to a government-project building. So, according to the law, Sivaji is forbidden from continuing his effort to help his people. However, the minister asked Sivaji to bribe him with Rs. 50 million in order to continue his construction. Once again, VIvek consoled Sivaji to pay the amount. These make Suman angry and he changed the whole government to opposition party so that the construction being held. He suceeded. However, Sivaji has hired a lawyer in order to win his case in court. He has lost all his things. He has even sold his car in order to pay the lawyers advance. He lost. Outside the court, Suman gave Sivaji Rs.1. He kept the coin and changed the whole story of the movie.Watch for more in the theatres. Come on, Shankar spended so much of money and you not gonna just sit there and read this comment rite!
Shreya was gorgeous in this movie as she have shown what she need to show, in which part of the movie people would hav see. Once again, the credits goes to Shankar. As Sivaji was searching for a homely Indian girl, Sreya appears to be one, but Sivaji's way of approach made the story twisting and interesting. Apart from that, A.R. Rahman once again scored a great music with an amazing background for the songs.
