Two years ago I started getting pain with electric-shock like sensations over my left face.MRI confirmed that I was suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia(TN).
I started taking treatment from a neurologist. Drugs, in various combinations, did not work at all. A time came when I was taking per day 1, 200 mg of Tegrital, 900 mg of Gabapin, and 75 mg of Topaz; yet I could neither eat nor drink nor speak.
The neurologist sent me to the neurosurgeon Dr Ajit Kumar Sinha at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for an "expert opinion." Dr Sinha advised me to go for MVD. He is said to have performed over 300 MVD surgeries.
The next day he performed MVD surgery. Now my pain is entirely gone. No longer have I to take any drugs for TN. I am back to normal life.
I have no words to express my gratitude to Dr A. K. Sinha. He has been a God-sent blessing for me. I shall never forget his professionalism and humaneness.
I am giving this feedback so that TN patients may not run from pillar to post searching for a cure but know exactly where the cure lies.
