Singham Roars. Review on Singham

2011 can be called a turn around period for Indian Cinema . This is the year when different genres for different segment of viewers hit the cinemas and if its good it will be a hit. Year started with unusual and unconventional NO ONE KILLED JESSICA. Which went on to become a hit. Than came Yamla Pagla Deewana, Dhobi Ghat, Yeh Saali Zindagi, Dil To Bacha., TanuWeds.Faltu, Haunted, Ragini, ready, Murder2, Shaitan, Buddha, zindagi Na, .. All belongs to different genre and all went on to make money. So what this trend proving is make a good movie and you will get the worth.

When Cinema started it's aim was quite clear that entertain people and earn money. For preaching we have discovery and Sanskar. And Rohit Shetty is honest believer of this thought.From Zameen to Golmaal to Singham his movie just promise one thing that you will be entertained. From Singham Rohit Shetty changes his track from mindless comedy to mindless action and Drama. But what matters is that he succeeded big time.

Plot: Singham has nothing new to present . Its a fight of honest police officer against Gundas, Corrupt Politicians and Mafia. One man with his feast is here to demolish the powerful but corrupt peoples. And that man is Bajirao Singham(Ajay Devgan). Singham is a Police officer posted in shiv garh .Favourite of villagers for his honest justice to victims. Jaykant Shikre(Prakash Raj) a criminal somehow found him in the way of his and got him transferred in Goa to finish him. Battle of upmanship goes on till the end and one man triumphed . No prize to guess the winner

Analysis: Singham deliver what it promised a non stop action and high octane drama. If you are expecting sensiblities watching its promo I dont know what to call you. It is better than its predecessors like Dabangg, Wanted and Ghajini. Even if I called it a best feast action movie than I must be right. Masses will shower claps and ceeties on dialogues and action scenes . Even classes will love the movie.

Performance:

Ajay Devgan - He oozes energy in his role. If his name is Singham he leaves no stone unturned to justify it. His eye speaks which is his biggest asset since his debut and he used it with flourish, His scream, his dialogue delivery and body language in action scenes was marvellous.

Prakash Raj: To me he is to south what Pran was to bollywood. I am a big fan of Pran. Pran has style of his own with great voice. Same applies to Prakash Raj. He can overshadow the biggest of stars by his screen presence. And this time he matches Ajay in every scene . He is a great actor and will eastablish himself in bollywood soon.

Kajal Aggarwal: She is what Sonakshi to Dabangg and Ayesha Takia to wanted. She is just their to add a love a love angle . She looked good, acted well and above all a cost effective for producers .

Music: Music was not much to rave about. Title track is best and has the feel of Hud Dabangg to it. Other two tracks were just fillers and not needed. Movie has no space for music as drama and action dominates the proceedings.

Direction: Rohit Shetty is back to what his father was known for . Action is family forte for him and he revisited it with bang. His USP is that he stuck to the genre he has chosen. If its comedy than it should just be comedy from start to finish and if its action than just action. His motive is just one to keep the viewers hooked and never let them feel boring and he succeeded in his motive big time
