Akshay Is The King .

Sing is Kinng ! After a long time I watched a movie which has nothing much in it ,except Akshay Kumar & Akshay Kumar.Its the magic of Khiladi Akshay,Many years back his father-in-law Mr Rajesh Khanna had the same charisma,rest is history.

To begin with 'Singh Is Kinng' relies heavily on the star value of Akshay Kumar ,Katrina Kaif and not much has gone into the plot. No doubt that an Anees Bazmee flick has nothing much for the intellectuals and is usually loaded with some funny lines and interactions between characters. But this time out, Anees unlike ( No Entry, Wellcome ) fails at something he is an ace-Comedy. There seriously aren't many funny lines or scenes and the movie gets lost in the glamworld scenario of splendid locales.

Akshay the 'Happy Singh' is the proverbial do-gooder who tries to help any and everyone, even if it means engaging with ruthless killers and mafia kingpins. He leaves his village and sets off for Australia to bring back a bunch of funny sardarjis to their wailing moms and dads. So what if the Sardar brotherhood has metamorphosed into a mafia gang in distant shores, headed by two  brothers (Sonu Sood and Jaaved Jaffrey). Happy Singh is here to browbeat them onto the path of goodness,  One by one, the rogues undergo their life-changing experience , calling for some  fun and games , and end up reformed souls.

To sum it up, at some point one would wonder whether the film was really made with a solid script or just with an initial thought further enhanced by the so called star power at the box office that Akshay has been enjoying .

The film has an entertaining first half ,The second half does get cluttered, clumsy and loose with loads of wasted talent in the likes of Ranvir Shorey, Javed Jaffrey and a side-lined Om Puri.The cinematography is splendid ,The music is entertaining.Akshay Kumar no doubt excels with his performance,Katrina is cute and fits the bill.Neha Dhupia does real well  and impresses. Sonu Sood emerges with a brilliant performance.

Dear MSians... Sing is Kinng... It is not a must watch movie...if at all you like to watch,then "leave your brain at home". Just enjoy.....

This film lacks real substance be it humor or emotions.Inspite of its short comming ,Singh is Kinng is going to find its audience despite being a no-brainer.This is purley the magic of Akshay Kumar & Ofcourse Akshay Kumar...
