i felt that something was wrong but was not able to figure it out until the last day in singapore. everything is extremely systematic and clean and orderly that it becomes difficult for an indian mind (like mine) to accept it. where is the chaos ???

i totally agree with bhavin and mathew regarding the systematic planning of the city and peoples minds. it looks like the robotic city from some sci-fi film. it is also a concrete jungle. its wonderful city for tourist but not for living there unless you have millions in swiss bank.

i have been to singapore twice and both the time I was there for less than a week. I must say that it has wonderful options for eating out, night life and entertainment for all ages.

in the midst of a city they have created a jungle (jurong bird park) speread over acres with totally natural and artificial but natural looking surroundings. they have wonderful collection of exotic birds and animals.

then there is centusa island and you can reach there by ropeway from the mainland which is 1000 feet high and its a wonderful experience. the aquarium on the island is one of the best in the world with fishes and aquatic creatures from all over the world including sharks. I never even imagined that such weird and wonderful creature existed.

then there is Haw Par Villa, which is chinese theme park and it has various entertainment options including live shows, museum and hair splitting rides.

keep one day for the science museum. although it us for children, you may learn a lot from it. its is very much entertaining.

keep two days for shopping in some of the most glamorous malls. then there is lovely china town and indian street.

there are plenty of options to eat out, be it indian or thai food or be it typically chinese or mexican food...you have all the options.

And....do not forget to go and see the Tiffany Show...hottest item on the menu. it is a perfect combination of dance, laser lighting, choreography and latest computer effects. Not many people know about it is performed by eunuchs !!!!

thats all....leave the country as soon as the week is over...because you may suffer from future shock if you stay more.
