Me and my wife planned to visit Singapore in the month of October 2005. We planned the package with a travel agent & boarded Indian Airlines plane . We landed Singapore amidst mild showers & checked in a luxury hotel room .It was 'Hotel Landmark'. The hotel was equipped with all amenities. The local trip to various places in Singapore was also pre-arranged with the travel agent.
We had planned to visit Singapore alone leaving our two small kids with my brother at Delhi.
We were excited with our first ever trip to a foreign country & no place other than Singapore would have been a better choice. After 11 years of our marriage, we were again on our second honeymoon trip.
In Singapore we visited Santosa Island, Jurong’s bird park, Merlion,Took a ride on cable car, watched the unique bird show & a fountain show which was one of its kind & unforgettable.
Tourist places in Singapore are very well maintained & people of Singapore are very disciplined .
We had a very touching experience when we were in SIM-LIM mall to purchase a Handycam for us. It was raining outside & we reached the mall with wet umbrellas in our hands. while we were shopping for the handycam, a young lady came to us with plastic umbrella covers in her hand. She handed over the umbrella covers to us to put our wet umbrellas within that cover so that the floor of the mall is not made dirty with the water droplets of wet umbrellas falling on it. We were impressed with the conciouness for the cleanliness & love of the people for their country.
We enjoyed MRT ( Metro Rail) & city bus service to go to different places. Any new visitor like us can use these transport fecilities as MRT stations & bus stands are equipped with the road map and help are readily available if you have any queries & doubts.
We really enjoyed each and every thing in Singapore. On our return we narrated our experience to my brother & he was so impressed that he could not resist and immediately planned his visit within two months. He was very thankful to me for suggesting such a nice place like Singapore for pleasure trip.
