Hey there all of you...its almost been a year since I wrote a review and thanks to Air Deccan’s pathetic service here I am again!!
well I have flown before and the idea of flying at such cheap was indeed thrilling for me...i was to fly from New Delhi to Chennai...The flight which was the start of my vacations made me think what kind of luck it was to bring...this thought came to me after I landed safely at Chennai!!
Let me start about my experience with Air Deccan!!
The first step was to get myself booked on a flight of Air Deccan, which I thought of doing through internet. that turned out to be a disaster as I was not able to go ahead and block my ticket.so many questions the site was asking me....credit or debit...savings or current....tis or tat...so on and so forth..i dint loose heart here and had my tickets booked from an agent.
The day of the flight - Departure time of flight - 09:15AM and am still waitin for my baggage to be checked in at 09:05!! I look in front of me and there are 30 odd people waiting for the same!! I was actually surprised when I came to know that Air Deccan was operating only one counter for all its flights...That was shocking itself...We were all waiting patiently..Suddenly one of the ground staff comes up to the counter and says "Last call for all Chennai bound passengers"
It was her luck that no one threw tomatoes and rotten eggs on her!!
After a long long wait I boarded the flight at 10:15....already an hour late...Well all boarded and seat belts strapped...still the no take off!!
There are two passengers standing in front because there were no seats!! That was ridiculous. They had to ask two of their crew to get down to accomodate the passengers.Have you heard about it anywhere??This entire thing takes another hal an hour...and finally the flight takes off at the time it was supposed to have landed in Chennai.
I totally agree that their fares are cheap but that does not mean they compromise so much on service!!
I am also from the service industry...in hotels to be exact...and was shocked to see such service standards from such a big company!!
If you want to fly cheap I would never recommend this operator.
