Air Deccan is not professional ,terribly bad. Review on Simplifly Deccan

Air travel is not new to me.

I have been traveling for the last 8 years by air.

I have traveled by Sri lankan airlines, Qatar Air lines, Indian Airlines, Northwest Airlines(to USA)

and so on.

But I traveled by Deccan Airlines and Spice Jet airlines only recently.

Deccan Airlines have got certain disadvantages. May be more diasdvantages than advantages. If you ask me to write in one sentence, I would like to state that I would not travel by Deccan Airlines again, I do prefer to travel by Indian Airlines even though the cost would be more.

I went to JAMMU, via DELHI  from Hyderabad by Deccan Airlines and while coming my flight was  from Jammu to Delhi by Spice Jet and again from Delhi to Hyderbad by Indigo  airlines.

This is the combination of tickets and route given by a ticket booking agents office in Hyderbad

during my recent Mata Vaishnodevi Yatra because it was about Rs.4000 cheap as compared to

journey by Air India.

I reached to India by sri Lankan Air lines(from Gulf) and I just wanted to confirm the tickets(to Jammu by Air Deccan) which were booked by my wife which were simple paper printouts from a computer given by some ticket agents office.

I was horribly surprised to know that  Air Deccan  do not have an office in Hyderabad. The agent that booked my tickets closed his office by evening and before that he advised me to talk to them on toll free phone! And as usual in India, the whole episode of that bloody toll-free telephone(of Deccan airlines) goes on and on with various numbers to dial for that electronic pre-recoreded messages and finally it says that the

phone originated from land line and advised me try from mobile phone.

Afterward the constant non-sense was  only an engage sound.

This led me to explore to explore for the Deccan Airlines office, and to my utter surprise and shock that  the airlines do not have an office at all in an important IT city like Hyderabad.

At last another ticket booking office nearby advised me to go to Airport so that they will have  a

kiosk like office! it is an outlet for them at the hyderabad airport.

So the front-end or the "face" of the Deccan Airlines was a girl, very young in age and very short in red coloured dress. She confirmed and issued a ticket   not only from Hyderabad to Delhi but even from Delhi to Jammu  as well. So far so good.

Once I landed in Delhi which I went for the first time in my life, I collected my bag, went and met Deccan Airlines kiosk like outlet in the airport.  I can not say whether I am foolish person or it is foolishness to book a ticket from Deccan airlines.

The lady a little bit black, thin was fretting and fuming and hissing like a snake. She casually looked at my ticket and told me curtly that I should report only one and half hours before only .

It was O.K. I thought, and I sat right there in the lounge. Even one hour before there was no activity and I could not see any counter which would take my luggage and issue boarding pass.

I tried to meet someone from Deccan airlines at that same kiosk like outlet but there was none.

I went to Spice jet counter and met a man there. He looked in to my spice jet tickets( return tickets)and politely asked me if there is anything else he could do for me.

I inquired about Deccan airlines and where they issue these boarding passes .

He looked at  me, a bit smiling and said that  I must go out of this building, really out, and then walk on the road to another adjacent building called "departures" and there, I should meet the Deccan airlines people on their counter.

Oh! I must be looking very awkward, I thought. Why deccan sirlines girl did not tell me.

Low paid workers, yes, they hate their jobs, they probably hate themselves. So I ran.

This is the capital of India and there is no integrated airport, and I was coming to north India for the first time in my life.

So, it was and finally I entered in to that "departures" building, the Deccan airlines was accepting passengers only for Chandigarh, a different airplane and there was no way for me to understand that.

Finally in that rush, as it would be in a bus stand(worse than that) I was asked to wait because for Jammu passengers they have not yet started.

And the red coloured dressed girls of Deccan, I think they are definitely low paid, poorly trained,

unfit to be airlines professionals. And I believe that they should better clean the toilets in the airports. The girl at the counter almost shouted at me because she was asking for the second time(second time only) if I wanted a window seat?.

I gave my ticket to her and she spoke in a sing song and a bullshit pronunciation, which she obviously thought was the correct pronunciation of english which  I could not understand at the first instance. So I asked her again and she repeated in a shouting voice with a scornful face exhibiting that she was talking to a villager who came there to board their most luxurious plane for the first time.

I shall really tell you what is there inside the plane.

These hair hostesses with north-east India features, short, Mongoloid features only sell very, very cold sandwiches for Rs.60/=  or(Rs.40/=?) I ate one of them, it was right out fridge, I think .

Coffee was not available at the time I think.

Airplane was very old and while turbine was rotating like cinnine fans in our blessed railway compartments, I was frightened.  Finally the turbines rotated as I was watching them from my "window seat". And I thanked God because plane did not fall down somewhere.
