I want share my experiences with truth (Air Deccan). Almost it was unbelievable that airdeccan was providing cheap fares. As a normal Indian I also tried to board the Deccan plateau special service from Bangalore to Delhi.
I book the Flight around one month back and got a fare which was cheaper but just one week before I came to know that it was in morning so I reschedule it which cost me fare which was more than any other similar airlines. Anyway I said to my self that it was my fault why to blame airlines for it... Anyhow I manage to start my flight happily as ever before.
Right from the check in counter my experience became more and more tough. I had 5 KG more luggage. I asked the guy what is the amount I have to pay. He like Amitabh Bacchan gave me four choices
1) 1500INR (available with receipt)
2) 500INR (no receipt available)
3)call any relative working in airport/custom/police
4) Go Home and leave the 5 kg(as deccan flight are always late u can go home and come back)
Anyway I am lazy person so adopt the second option and somehow managed to board the shuttle bus to airdeccan flight after standing in queue for a long time.
As soon as the bus stopped people start running and getting into the plane, I was amazed and though that almost all passengers would be traveling first time that’s why they are screaming like boarding a government bus.
Anyway when I went inside I was looking for my seat, In my Boarding pass near seat number number 64 was written so checked the entire plane and asked the airhostess, she told its a free way come and choose your favorite seat, I though when there is no seat available now how to choose the favorite seat, also understand why people were screaming to get into the plane.
Airdeccan is a flight for common people that’s why to make it realistic they are inspired by Indian railway. For example their Flight is always late if it is at 8.00PM that means it will go by 9.00PM same as Indian railway so people are much comfortable and start from their home at 8.00 when they have to catch a flight at 9.00 PM. Also just like vendors selling food item, water in Trains, as they cannot afford vendors inside Flight, airhostess have taken up the challenge and selling food items inside plane.
In all I would say at least everyone should fly at least once in air Deccan as it resembles the superstructure of Indian Railways in future.
