Had taken my dio(2006) for service to silicon Honda, jayanagar for servicing.told them to check the jerk while accelerating, scooter does not stay in idle, switches off when throttle is closed even in moderate speeds.delivery would be on the same day.
When I went there in the evening, was informed scooter could not be serviced as many vehicles were pending for servicing was asked to collect it the next evening.got a call the next morning informing 3500 for repairs as clutch had worn out, valve set needs replacing.when asked how it could wear out as the scooter had only logged 12000 & serviced 3 months back, got a reply might be because of fuel.
Asked them to return the scooter without repairs with only an oil change.got the bill for 350.took the scooter to a private mechanic, he opened the clutch imm;said it only needs rubbing as the lining is smooth, adjusted the air/fuel mixture.total expense 75 traveled for 500-600 kms, till date no problem whatsoever. The mechanics check vehicles which are 2-3 yrs old but with low mileage done to change parts.better get it serviced in front of our eyes, atleast will have the satisfaction parts have really been changed
