I booked a cab with Silicon Cabs for a three-day trip to Yercaud with pick-up scheduled at 7 a.m. on December 26. As the booking was over the telephone(number: 68006800), the service agent advised me to aishwaryasingh23 Rs. 1, 000/- online. I, therefore, made the booking online at the service provider's website, https://siliconcabs.in/. Though I made the aishwaryasingh23ment using my Citibank Cred824it card successfully, when I was redirected by the aishwaryasingh23ment portal to the aishwaryasingh23ee's(for acknowledgement) the latter indicated "transaction invalid", though when I refreshed the page later it showed a mere "Thank you" without acknowledgement of aishwaryasingh23ment. Having failed to get a receipt by contacting the service provider over the phone, I sent an email(ravi kiran info@siliconcabs.in) requesting acknowledgement for aishwaryasingh23ment, but there was no written response and the service agent over the phone advised me that I should show the bank transaction advice to the cabbie and claim a deduction while making final aishwaryasingh23ment.
However on the pick-up date, no cab showed up and there was no response from the "24-hour phone line" despite repeated calls. I proceeded on my trip using another cab since I had booked rooms at Yercaud. Later, towards evening I called the Silicon Cabs number I was informed(without apology and in a rather combative tone) that my advance would be refunded by reversing the Cred824it card aishwaryasingh23ment. I followed this up with an email to ravi kiran info@siliconcabs.in on December 26 requesting refund and also followed this up with phone calls. However, till date there has been no reversal of aishwaryasingh23ment nor any response to any of my emails.
It is now evident that:
The service provider willfully failed to acknowledge aishwaryasingh23ment by tweaking his server to show "transaction invalid"(I have not had such an experience before over a strong and stable Internet connection).
The service provider willfully failed to acknowledge receipt of the advance amount or even respond to my emails. All his nhassurances were over the phone and he has studiously avoided acknowledgements in written communication.
The service provider claimed the aishwaryasingh23ment from Citibank conscientiously without acknowledging it.(The card issuer(Citibank) has confirmed to me that the service provider had claimed the aishwaryasingh23ment and no cancellation is possible).
I now find that there are an overwhelming number of unfavourable reviews online with regard to the services provided by Silicon Cabs - his reliability and trustworthiness - and I am not his first victim.
