We stayed in this pathetic place with our cousins few months back. Though we did not have great expectations(as this was the only place where rooms were available when all other places were running full) but we were completely horrified on the place when we saw the place. The sole credit for attracting victims like us goes to the web site designer. I am sure that the website designer is the most cursed person.

The lady who is sort of PRO talks well to add on to the trap of the website and sets a false expectation to the visitors by comparing themselves with the Taj Group(she says they are better then Taj).

Listed below are the samples of horrible experiences that we had to face:

  1. We were allotted the so called "NEW" rooms which was priced higher(Rs 4500). The walls were wet, no plastering, the bed/bedspread were always damp), the ground was wet and we were advised not use slippers in the room no matter what the weather conditions are.

  2. We checked in late in the evening and there was no power and did not have the generator running till we got there, we went to the lobby using a flashlight. They blamed the Govt for not supplying continuous power!

  3. I had specifically asked them to make sure the room amenities were there before we checked in, we did not even have toilet paper in the room and we had to ask for it several times before we got it.

  4. The rooms are horribly maintained, it is not hygienic at all, the western commode were overflowing when flushed. The toilet pits are right next to the rooms and will give us a'heavenly' feeling when you step out/sit in verandah.

  5. There was no bulb in the bathroom. We were given a torch and asked to manage with that. They say they have run out of stock of bulbs due to frequent power variations.

  6. They do not have power regulators DP switches, so be very sure not to use any chargers, laptops etc. Me and my cousins burnt our camera battery chargers 9costing about 2K each). They promised to reimburse the cost but so far they are still in consultation with management to take a call on this.

  7. The common toilet was worse than public toilets in the bus stand. You could find frogs, leeches and lot of insects in the rooms.

  8. They have horrible collection of music and their music system was pathetic, they only make noise.

  9. False promises - shuttle court / cricket ground( flood lit games) - What you see there are paddy fields. The place itself is badly lit with electricians working with tubelights all through the day. Cricket could be played anywhere was what the manager indicated. and YES "Crickets"( insects) were playing all around.

  10. Swimming Pool - The pool looks cool in the website. Sorry, but a decent leap into the pool could hurt you and carry ITCHGUARD for use after the swim. You can swim along with frogs and other insects. Shower room/toilet by the pool side is pathetic. Carry your own buckets as they are short of it!

  11. We also heard from other guests in the resort that the dormitory room they were using did not have bolts to lock the door and they had to be singers to avoid intrusions.

  12. When we complained this to the site in-charge manager, he quietly listens to all our problems, nods and agrees and says he has no authority to do anything and directed us to call the management and complain. He never allowed us to talk their so called MD who hid somewhere in the jungles of Chikkamagalore. The more interesting part is that he started to cry when we continued to complain and ask for the MDs number and our complaints ended there!

  13. Be ready to bathe in cold water(courtesy of electricity board, no power so no hot water).

After charging close to Rs 5, 000 per night you are made to run around for each and everything. no light, hot-water, one key works to open all the locks of the rooms in the property! No intercom to speak to reception, so you'll have to walk a long distance in the muddy areas(no pathway exist)every half hour to sort out your problems(rather same problems)!

Food and Bonfire - Mixed reactions in the group. Overall average rating for that.

To sum up, anyone planning to visit this resort should be ready to have the WORST holiday of their life. If you have to spend money, you can actually cut/burn your money or throw to garbage instead of choosing this location for the holiday.
