Sikkim Manipal University is a farce to eat up your money.
I studied engineering, can talk about SMIT in detail. Students as good as AIEEE top 200 rankers go there, and so does AIEEE 150000. Some of the teachers are very nice, others are not, and rely on harassing tactics to troubled students.
You pay a lot of money as food charges, but the food turns out to be bad as soon as your parents leave the premises, having come here for your admission. And when you tell them that mess food is bad, they dont believe you.
The Canteen is run by the same contractor who runs the mess, so there might be a deliberate attempt to increase revenue at the Canteen. Beware, if you stay at the hostel, it is mandatory that you have to pay for mess charges. Nepali speaking students are given preference, the administration is biased towards them.
