Story of ineffective sify call center agents and their renewal terms and bosses - like bharathi, mohammed, raghu, and an unknown lady - they promise everything, as they know nothing, and they are not enabled at all. Plus with the recent reduction in the offerings from reliance and BSNL - why should someone pay 6times the money for so bad a service.


I have bid adieu to Sify Broadband after 1.5 years, in favor of Reliance and BSNL. The customer service center of sify is very very very bad, and they are completely unprofessional. The main reason is that they have neither been briefed properly, nor have been enabled properly.


Take my experience, I call them register a request for renewal on friday 14/jan/05, they said they will call back next day. They actually called back on 18th and said they will call after 1 hour.


On 20th one girl calls from the renewal center - and says my renewal is activated. Then nothing happens.


finally I got frustated on 20th/jan (after one week), and register compliant 1480378 with one bharati - this guy wastes 20 minutes and reverts back with nothing. he said the online renewal team will call after 20 mins. THIS RENEWAL team always sleepgs. They dont call back.


I call them again, again nothing happens... then I call again, frustated, and one mohammed picks up... I thought these guys will get scared, if I say I want to close the connection. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS, this Mohammed guy actually closes, the connection, without even calling back.


I called again on 21st.. this time again the compliant is attende by one bharathi, agains the usual, stuff... I insist that I need to talk to his boss... and after sometime his boss calls up and says that he has pipe lined the renewal... actually nothing happens


In the meantime, the renewal center, calls up again.. this time by one raghu, he also promises to call after 15 min and nothing happens.


FInally after 1.5 years of continous usage, and paying bills on time, and also spending so much of money in telephonse calls - trying to renew, I decided to call it quit and decided to move to Reliance.


It was so easy moving to reliance, guided by their excellant support and technical staff, I actually got my connection working from scratch in 2 hours.
