A movie for all ages?

Before starting with my review on SHREE420 I would like to share with you all my views on a good movie?.or how I rate a good movie

There is one strange thing called CINEMA I am calling it a strange thing because if u will watch a movie in a cinema hall there will be hundreds of people along with you all coming from different backgrounds, all having different lives and different problems yet for 3 hours all want to enjoy no matter what life is waiting outside?

An example to share, you might be watching a movie with your girl friend thinking about how to propose her or to get rid of her you might be having a fight with someone thinking about it or having exams tension or any other real life problem but for those 3 hours you want to forget everything and enjoy the movie..

That is the real purpose of good cinema to make others forget there daily problems and to enjoy life so my review is based on the same phenomena. A movie is good if it can hold you and can help you to forget everything for 3 hours..

Now why SHREE-420 well those who have seen it know that this was really the best work of Raj Kapoor?..

This movie was based on the life of a small town guy Raju who came to Mumbai for some work .He was innocent, intelligent, educated and was having all qualities which are not enough to make it big in Mayanagri Mumbai?The city of dreams.

His first experience in Mumbai was with a beggar whom he asked for a job was an amazing scene that really reflects the present scenario?I still remember the way that scene was shot and the dialogue delivery and expressions of Raj Kapoor?.

Raju tried his luck but failed to get a job in Mumbai?Later on he tried to sell some tooth powder but failed to do so cause of his honesty?He was given shelter in slum area which was located just behind the bungalow of a big tycoon? After trying a lot he finally managed to get a job in a laundry ?..and there he met Nargis?.well who can forget the chemistry between Raj Kapoor and Nargis one of the best romantic couples of Indian cinema. Nargis played the role of a schoolteacher and the daughter of a handicapped man..

The first half of the movie deals with the problems of Raju making it big in Mumbai and his romance with Nargis..and the problems of the slum people who gave him the shelter?

Before intermission the movie takes the sudden turn where Raju meets Nadira a PAGE-3 personality. She came to know of his hidden talent of playing with the cards and used that for making big money by introducing him as the Prince?

Raju turned from an honest individual to a Crook to make big money and he ended up losing his love and near and dears in the city of Mumbai??

Well as always happens in Bollywood the film had a happy ending where Raju got his love and gave shelter to his slum friends by making homes for them?

The later half saw the fight of Raju with his values and his lure of making money in Mumbai and making a choice between his love and money..

Positives of this movie:

Excellent songs?.

Didn?t u remember Ramaya vastavaya and mudd mudd ke na dekh mudd mudd ke?

Excellent performances especially by Raj Kapoor and Nadira?.

Superb chemistry between Raj kapoor and Nargis?

Excellent direction and storyline?.

This movie story holds true in today?s scenario as well. Too many people tried to copy and make a remake of this movie including SHAHRUKH KHANS ?RAJU BAN GAYA GENTELMAN?. But of little success do watch this masterpiece of Raj Kapoor..

Well again in the end I would suggest that this movie is for all ages and believe me it?s a real good value of time?
