Shreenath Hyundai is one of the many service providers for Hyundai automobiles.
And I am one of their unfortunate victims. Chose to give my car to Shreenath for
repairs rather than someone else considering their renowned workshop facilities.
During the intial service sessions, they goaded me into going in for various
additional services irrespective of whether I needed them or not.like interior
polishing, engine flushing, exterior anti corrossion treatment, decarb, etc.
Being the kind of guy who likes to have his car in pristine condition, I agreed.
And there would have been no disappointment if the work was done properly.
They
delay the car release so that you finish the payment while you wait. When I took
delivery, the car looked pathetic despite the 5 digit sum I spent on it. There
were circular polish marks on the car rather than the clean buff finish
expected. They blamed the dusty conditions and the black color of my car as the
reason for the marks. In subsequent service sessions, there was never any
feedback given during delivery for the parts replaced or any additional work
done. For major repairs, they did call up though to ask for permission.but my
contention is that there was no explanation given to the various parts that were
replaced. And several times, an additional service would be included which would
add to my problems.
For example, they asked to repair my passenger door lock
saying that it was corroded. After taking delivery, the car would shudder in
running coz the door would not close properly. When I took it back to them and
complained, they brought the car to their workshop floor and rammed a hammer to
the frame to set things right. Another example.a week after service, it was
observed that the coolant reservior was empty when the attendant checked it
while I refuelled. The list goes on and on. I know that they are good and they
know Hyundai cars well. What owners need to take care is to fully check the car
from front to back when taking delivery before making payment. And be wary of
any additional services they try to force on you.
