The Villains of Indian Cricket

Indian cricket is now at a shameful state with the dropping of Sourav Ganguly from the remaining matches of the Sri Lanka Test series and probably from the upcoming Pakistan and England series.

I’ve have made an attempt of listing down the villains of Indian cricket; so far as the list has every chance of increasing- after all kalyug hain bhai, ghor kalyug!

1) Imbalanced coach:

a) Not only does Greg Chappell carry a bad reputation as a coach from the local zone back in Australia but he is still continuing it here in India. It is not shocking anymore to know that his brother too carries a very poor impression about Greg.

b) Chappell’s fingering act at Sourav supporters at Calcutta was nothing short of an insult for Indian and Bengali sentiments and traditions.

c) Chappell has been backstabbing Sourav innumerable number of times- the coach is a hypocrite. Sourav has tried his best to understand, adjust yet in vain.

d) If Yashpal Sharma’s were to be believed, Greg Chappell wants to ‘rule’ over of team India consisting of players who have no independent mind of their own. So not only Sourav but also his supporters like Yuvraj, Zaheer, Harbhajan, Sehwag and Kaif are in Chappell’s hit list!

Amazing- talk about a foreigner ruling over us again- well, here’s a prime example!

2) Selection of a bunch of jokers:

a) I have one straightforward question: who on earth is Kiran More to decide the fate of Sourav Ganguly? Does he have anything in him to prove that he is even the tip of Sourav’s foot-nail?

b) Dada performed well in the domestic matches and also at the Delhi test- why was he axed then? Why wasn’t he made to bowl if he was taken as a batting all rounder? Are they blind not to see the two vital partnerships that dada had in the test match? Funny to say the least! The rationale given by More is nothing but stupid and senseless.

c) Now it seems clear that the announcement of Sourav's inclusion in the Sri Lanka Test Series was to calm down the Calcutta crowd because the selectors were scared that the onedayer at Calcutta might have have been boycotted.

d) Since when did he manage to steal the audacity to use “I”? Is he the decision maker? If yes, he should be sacked immediately.

3) Rahul Dravid:

a) I, like many, am shocked with his behavior and attitude. Has the desire for captaincy made him so vain and insecure that he has gone to his ‘father’- Chappell to do whatever he wants?

b) Dravid felt so insecure of Sourav encouraging all the players that he voted Sourav out of the rest of the test series.

c) Shame of Dravid- is this the kind of captain we have for team Indian? Is this the vision to take forward and achieve the World Cup?

Solution:

I strongly believe the following should be put into immediate effect:

1) With Greg Chappell: This idiot should be immediately sacked and deported back to Australia. I (and many of us) don’t want a firang ruling and taking decisions for us.

2) With Rahul Dravid: He should be stripped off from his captaincy because such an insecure captain is nothing but a curse on a pious team and a sport which is nothing short of a religion.

3) With Kiran More: This jackass is a pain in the, uh, everywhere! He is like a chameleon who changes his color under every regime of BCCI. He has lost his senses and now working under Chappell’s mind. It would be best to send him to Pakistan and keep him under Javed Miandad for some disciplining and learning!

Shame on Kiran More- he should be removed as the chairman of selectors for playing such political and biased games.

4) For Indian media: I am happy that the media has finally woken up- now I’d request the media to work and progress on it and do something constructive and help restore sanity in Sourav’s favor.

5) For Sourav Ganguly: Dada should be immediately called back in the Indian cricket team for both onedayers and test matches and reinstated as the captain for both forms of the game.

6) For Indian Public:

a. For those who support Sourav: Guys, it’s time not to just talk about it and wait and watch things to happen. There should be a nation wide revolution to make the morons like Chappell, More and Dravid realize what they have done is a cardinal sin against Sourav.

b. For people of Calcutta: Friends, Calcuttans and countrymen, just shouting and carrying our processions only won’t help much. If you really have the guts, then why don’t you sue Greg Chappell when he showed you guys his middle finger? Have you become so shameless that you accept every insult that rest of India and now a foreigner do to you? Are the Bengali film stars, dignitaries, intellectuals and political personalities will only talk big in air conditioned rooms? Aren’t you people going to constructively do something about it other than meetings, passing petition notes? Funny, wake up ladies and gentlemen, Calcutta is dying and you people are just looking at it from your addas at the coffee shops!

c. For those who do not support Sourav: My middle finger to you pig-heads!
