What's the need of a Pub?. Review on Should Pubs close down at 11pm

First thing First I have never been to a Pub(and neither I intend to)and this is just my general observations or what I have heard or seen about Pubs.This Pub culture was not there before and its from a few years that I have start listening about it.Why do we need a Pub?If its for relaxing and having a good time with friends then I think there are far better ways to relax then going to a Pub.Im my opinion we are so attracted to the western culture, we tend to follow everything they do, whether it suits our culture or not and hence these pubs and discos are becoming so popular in India, especially big cities.The youth of today has already spoilt a lot following this western culture.and they have nothing better to talk then about girls, drinking, dancing and what not, but life exists beyond all these things too. Please don't take any offence, but I come from a very conservative family and my idea of enjoyment has always been different, like having a get together at home, going to watch films with friends or going to picnics(and still it is the same).And I am happy for that because atleast I have my happiness and peace of mind which these people go in the pub and discos to search.I feel going to a pub is waste of time, why go to a pub(to drink, drink, drink, whats so good about drinking)or disco(where the music is so loud that you are sure to be deaf in few days).Moreover this is not our culture, in big cities this culture is fast spreading and thus spoiling the youth because they think its a IN thing to go to a pub or disco.

Well, I had gone to a big city some time back and was passing by from a near by pub and there saw few girls and guys smoking outside the pub, i know the people staying there would say what a hep girl but in my opinion it was absolutely cheap.Would you like to associate smoking with a girl?I won't.

The other thing is that opening of these pubs and discos are causing so many accidents, because the people stay there till late night, drink drink and drink and then when they drive.they are not in their senses and hence bound to have a accident.

Whether it is 11p.m. or any time I think these pubs and discos should be banned because they do not serve any purpose.But this is strictly my opinion and I feel there are far better ways and means of enjoyment then wasting my time and money on them.

I know many may not agree with my opinion but I wrote what I felt.
