Should Internet Content be Censored?
My Answer: NO
A very interesting topic that hit straight to my heart. It is difficult and vague topic one can write a lot and at the same time can’t write more because that would be censored. Then I have decided to write the topic from a very sensitive end. May be most of people will disagree to me that Internet cannot be censored. Now how this is my discussion as a whole and I would give you valid reasons for internet content(IC) can’t be censored and in my opinion IC Must not be censored even. I clear say a big big no to censor the IC.
Why?
1. Why IC needs censor?
Every kind of information is provided on internet free from any influence by anybody. If anyone has thought about someone in positive he/she can write in that way if someone thought negative then he/she can write negative. There is no pressure like we see in media and people get information in a moment in most cases without any cost. I am living outside India but every moment happening is with me due to internet. If our politicians influence this and news and views presented on net are also censored then it will be very time consuming and useless information for everyone. Media is in their control already so if they will control the censorship of IC we will never be able to know the real picture.
2. Now come to the second part of my discussion of Why?
Yes you are right this is concerned with adult material available on net. I think even the websites like these which contain serious adult material also not to be censored even. Because if you are taking a decision that must be over board. Now the point of disagreement starts and most people say that adult material must be banned and IC must take care of Censorship and clean and clear information must be provided in order to determine that our coming generation is safe from highly sexual and por-no material as coming age is called netage. I don’t think that this kind of material is hitting new generation it was present in all ages then the ways of see that material were different. Now it is easier to access it as you switch on the net and just give https://_.com /adult. And you get the stuff you want. If that will be censored any new way will be devised and that may be more harmful. In that way I say that IC is in no need to be censored.
How to Eradicate and to Combat this problem?
Censor is a filter of material from a content that can be harmful for society in any context. But whenever a filter is constructed the spam device a new way or a higher encoding not under jurisdiction of firewall. So how to eradicate the problem. This is a very simple thing and can be practiced more easily if we are enough strong as parents. If you think you are good parents or going to be good father/mother then you must have to be a bit bold and brave and tell your children what is right what is wrong and make them enough strong that they themselves become reluctant to such material.
As far as my knowledge there is no religion which permits promotion of such material and you belong to any religion you can make your child strong and stronger that he/she himself/herself hesitate to use adult material. You and children must be strong from inside and have great care for moral values. This is a lacking of our generation and this is leading to a vulgar culture.
I ever opposed censorship because of the fact that useful material is always censored during the censorship and if IC is hit by the same category IC will become a complete dumb.
