It is difficult to fathom that Anil Kapoor chose this movie to make his commercial debut after the very highly regarded “Ghandhi, My father”. I think someone forced him at gun point to produce this for sure. You will find Akshayee Khanna his close friend playing the lead here too. The plot is clichéd to say the least.

Cast: Amrita Rao as Maansi plays a famous hero-in, Arshad Warsi as Raju is a loud shameless, ethic less struggling wannabe actor dreaming to make big. Akshayee Khanna as Shekhar is a director/writer.

Chemistry b/w Amrita and Akshayye fizzles. Amrita can never look hot nor sexy however hard she tries. She needs to stick to girls next door roles who whispers sweet nothings like in the movie Vivah.

Songs:Introductory song of Amrita where she dons a glam avatar(read skimpy clothes) is garish to say the least. Anil kapoor n Sanjay dutt are uncalled for. All songs are rubbish and are no way situational.

Costumes And Make Up:The less said the better, Amrita’s clothes and tanned make up throughout the movie is a mess.

Genre:The movie yo-yo’s between comedy(if u can call that) and family drama. Comedy is forced and the script(if there is one) is extremely week.

Plot:Maansi and Shekhar are secretly in love. Shekhar an assistant director, wants to make it big on his own in the film industry, w/o the help of Maansi. Raju is side artist wanting to be a super star. Shekhar is in the process of finalizing the climax of a script which he believes will catapult him to fame as a great director. Arshad warsi steals the finalized script and sells it to a big producer on the condition that he is made the lead actor. Fortunately he makes it big, at the same time, circumstances force Maansi and Shekhar to marry. With the script gone and responsibility to run the home, Shekhar takes small jobs with no success. He is reduced to rest on his wife’s laurels and takes to drinking. Shekhar is given a chance by the same producer who bought the script from Warsi to compensate for the mistake, but with Warsi as the lead. Incidentally the producer dies leaving Shekhar back at square one. The owner of the Kholi where Shekhar resides sells his plot to finance the movie. Warsi decides to act in the movie directed by Shekhar, but plans never to complete the same. Warsi refuses to shoot the climax to create trouble. Shekhar in turn films the climax w/o his knowledge and completes the movie which goes on to be a super hit. Maansi and Shekhar reunite and Warsi is left with no more films in his kitty teaching him that there are no shortkuts in life to success. Warsi needless to say plots to steal another script and there ends the movie.

Movie is Pathetic and boring to say the least. It just drags on, and a big bakwas. Please give it a miss even on the DVD.
