After going through all the reviews of various shopping website, it seems all ecommerce websites has got customer related issues.
I ordered Google chromecast from shopyourworld.com on May 20 and thought to give it a try as it doesn`t cost much and this is the only website available were Google chrome was available, as they shipped directly from USA . Viola I received the product yesterday in sealed pack condition and its working properly.
I work for an Export Import firm and got relative fair idea how the entire stuff works in customs and why this website takes 10-15 days to deliver the goods to our home.
Initially, I was unable to track the order but after 5-6 days, the status got reflected i.e In transit(Shipped to India), and Shipped to destination(India to my house). During my conversation with their support team they clarified their process, Whenever any customer places an order, it got first delivered at their USA warehouse which takes approx 3-7 working days and from there it got shipped to INDIA by air. Once it arrived in India, it gets repacked and couriered back to our Local address.
Sometimes customs official from US / India open the package to verify the goods and we think we got broken / opened product or in some cases the product gets stuck in customs which takes days to clear and this is the hard fact . Imagine a scenario were we cancel the product due to late delivery and the product we order is in transit to India, its a complete loss for them as they cant send the product back to USA.
Based on my shopping experience, I don`t blame them as they are doing good job by providing us the goods we don`t get in india. I will tend to buy more products from this website whenever required.
