Product not shipped till day 5. Review on Shoppingdiatimes

I placed order for a Xolo Q800 (Black) on the 17th of June vide order # 3002427894. Payment has been received and order approved. This is the 5th day and there is no shipping update. I have spoken with the customer care representatives twice and they confirmed that the item was in stock and it would be shipped from their Delhi warehouse.

My shipping address is in Greater Noida, which is well within the NCR region. Now I fail to understand what is preventing them from shipping the item if it is indeed 'IN STOCK' and to be shipped from Delhi !!!! I was lured by the deal, however I feel that it's better to spend 500 bucks or so extra and place order to reputed online stores like Flipkart. Worse their phone lines are saying 'switched off' today ! Very poor service, seriously !!

Update:

Day 5: I called up customer care around noon and one Mr.Rahul answered. I told him about no progress of delivery and he placed my call on hold, discussed it with his senior (that's what he told me) and assured me that my product would be shipped by the end of the day and I'd get confirmation the same day. He also escalated the issue. But the shipment never happened !!

Day 6: I called up in the morning and one Mr.Lucky answered. He apologised, that programmed response that you get ! The same cycle was repeated and he assured me that I'd get my shippng update by the end of the day. No update, so late evening I called up again. One Mr.Naman answered, he discussed it with his department and said it would be shipped by Monday latest.

Seriously, this is the type of service they provide? False commitments, no follow up action !! I assumed Indiatimes Shopping, having been around for such a long time, would be way better than this ! But as I can see from the reviews of many of my fellow buyers, alongside my personal experience, they are not very concerned about customer satisfaction.

Day 8: Placed a call at around 10 am to ensure that the product got dispatched today. Dont remember the name of the CCE who answered. Explained the situation. Told him about the false committments and missed timelines. Asked him to ensure that it got dispatched today. Pat came the mechanical reply- 'You will get your product on or before 26th'. I said 'I can very well see that on my computer screen but that is not why I'm calling. I want it delivered before 26th as I will be out of town 26th onwards.' I also informed him that the same request was made by me last week. He replied that he or anybody on his team could not commit me a partucular date. I then countered him by saying how then could the others (Mr.Rahul, Mr.Lucky and Mr.Naman) commit me shipping dates (committments which were not honored, of course). He said he couldn't do anything about expediting my delivery. To which I asked to speak with his senior. After much resistance and reluctance, he put my call on hold and after a minute or so, came back on the line to tell me that his supervisors were busy so he couldn't conncet me (I should have know better !) . Dejected, I hung up the phone.
