I accidentally made a purchase on indiatimes shopping for a speaker system after checking the prices with a competitor website. The price was 300 bucks cheaper. I made the purchase in 1st week of April 2013. I received my speaker system in absolute damaged condition. After a lot of hassle and communication with the customer care gentleman , I was asked to send the product back to Delhi from Chennai as my house was not in their pick up zone. I paid 550 bucks as courier charges to send the damaged good. Received the refund amount for the speakers system, but running from pillar to post to obtain my gift coupon code.
The customer care is highly efficient and does nothing but give false promises. I was given a faulty coupon code finally which does not work. It is almost end of june and still the refund issues are going on. The coupon validity itself is 1 month of which only 10 more days are left.
I have learned my lesson from them. Just because the price is less, I will never buy from indiatimes. Pay little more and maybe purchase from flipkart. I hope never to even check indiatimes shopping website for anything. My constant murmur of discontent with indiatimes shopping has already spread to my friends and relatives and I don't think they will be making purchases from here either.
MY advice is there are many other websites offering better products and better services. It will do you a lot of good mentally to stay away from this site.
