I had ordered an iPad on 10 Mar, 2013 fooled by their discounts.. The iPad after a few calls was delivered on 20th March 2013. 10 days to deliver an iPad that is their in there stock. But that was just a part of the ordeal.
The iPad was delivered on 20th March, 2013. It was a defective piece. There was a slight dent near the mute button. You can not now use mute button. My good fortune was that I took the unpacking video and the dent on the box is also visible on the video. Though till date they have only asked for pics and not for the unpacking video. I raised a case with Indiatimes for a reverse pickup. Its been around 1 month and all I get from them are lies.
I was supposed to get a call from their courier company, which never happened. I got a single call from the case manager Utsav that he will be arranging a reverse pickup. After that even after calling Indiatimes customer care service for a callback from Utsav were greeted with false promises of the same being done. You can not call Utsav directly and he will not call you back.
I asked them if I can deliver the iPad to their office. For this they also denied. They will not arrange reverse pickup and will not let you return the item on your own. They want me sent a Rs. 40000 iPad from some courier. Who will take responsibility of the iPad during transit?
I will now have to buy the iPad again from responsible online retailer like Flipkart or will buy it from a shop. Just wanted to warn you. Try your luck with Indiatimes for only goods you are ready to wait for around months.
In the pics you may not realize how that this has rendered the mute button useless.
