Auctions on Indiatimes - Don't get cheated. Review on Shoppingdiatimes

I shop online occasionally and been on the indiatimes auction site on 26th December. I bid for a Nokia mobile and Rs.500/- was deducted from my savings account as security deposit. My bid was not good enough to win the product and as every normal user , I thought my money would be refunded back.I had a similar issue before where I didnot win the bid and when my money was not credited back, I had called the customer care and got my refunded in four days..But this time, to my surprise its been almost a month now and I have been following up with them almost daily.

I was a little idiotic that I didnot count on my first experience with them and now realize how stupid it was to do so.In the second week of Jan, I had contacted the India times Toll free number . A complaint was registered and I was told that my money would be refunded in the next five days. Nothing happened..Today I spoke with another guy in the customer care but this guy had no clue ( my mistake was that I didnot have the complaint number ready with me) He then asked me which city is nearer to my city (Chennai). whether bangalore is nearer or Ahmedabad is nearer!!!!.

What kind of a stupid question is this.. He then gave a bangalore number and asked me call there.This is so stupid guys. You got to call some NSTD number to figure what happened to your money. The first time When I gave the transaction details, they were able to trace the record and accept that it was their fault. But when you call them again with the same details, they don't have any details.. Why should we be taken for a ride? To get your Rs.500/- back, if you are to spend money on NSTD calls, whats the point?

Should you be following up with them daily to get your money back? as if you dont have any other work.Its a shame that a company like indiatimes should behave like this. I am completely pissed off guys.. Next time if you are planning to bid in the auctions page of India times, make sure you dont care about the security deposit. It might never come back.I experienced this by spending Rs.500/- .But I hope my experience will help you ppl in not getting cheated like me.
