I have a bunch of complaints about products available on shopping.rediff.com and their unsatisfactory service.
Order No: 3981050 (Nokia N91 mobile Phone)
I had booked Nokia N91 online and found the mobile charger was not working from the first day of receiving. I sent complaint emails MANY TIMES and at last AFTER ONE MONTH a guy came to collect the defective mobile charger. I am praying to get the replacement of that as early as possible.
Till the time, previous day while listening the songs on Nokia N91, suddenly it got MUTE. I tried restarting it but the speaker did not work. I was able to listen the songs from head phones but the LOUD SPEAKER WAS NOT WORKING.
I was even not able to hear the ring of the phone.
I raised a request in email that "I WANT A NEW NOKIA N91 AS A REPLACEMENT of this DEFECTIVE phone OR arrange to give me the MONEY BACK and collect your DEFECTIVE mobile phone provided to me." but this did not helped me.
Order No: 4002870 (Cordless phone)
This was the cordless phone that I ordered from shopping.rediff.com website. Again as their practice, they had given me the DEFECTIVE phone. This package was containing a "Corded & Cordless phone". I impressed with the features that they had displayed on the website and I ordered it but the CORDED unit was WORKING fine where as the CORDLESS unit was NOT WORKING. I cannot pickup or make calls with that unit. It is NOT even GIVING the DIAL TONE. I raised request to in email as "I want this unit also be replaced." but even this did not help me.
Order No: 4026370 (Educational Laptop)
And now the third product. This was an Educational Laptop that I had ordered on 9th August 2007. I wanted to give it to someone on Saturday 18th August 2007 as a gift. I had done a regular follow-up for the order and had got answer every time that "TODAY IT WILL BE DISPATCHED". I had sent 3 emails regarding this to REDIFF and have received ZERO REPLY from their side. After some days I called up to the customer care again(which is NOT CARING for customers) where I got the same answer that "TODAY IT WILL BE DISPATCHED". What the hell this answer means.? The date I wanted to gift it to someone was already passed and now it is of NO USE to receive it form shopping.rediff.com.
I raised a request as "Please CANCEL THE ORDER and GIVE MY MONEY BACK TO ME. I have paid Rs. 604/- for that and I NEED THE MONEY BACK. PLEASE CANCEL THE ORDER NO: 4026370."
After more than months time, I got the money back with NO APOLOGY from rediff.
I had also sent email that speaks,
"Please revert back to me ON MY MOBILE NO 9819682367 as soon as possible.
If I do not get reply regarding this mail in next 24 Hrs, I am going to the CONSUMER COURT to raise the complaint against you, your products and your zero class service."
But again there was NO response from rediff.
After such a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I am not going to buy anything from REDIFF in future. Also I will siggest you all NOT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM shopping.rediff.com.
