I like shopping online, and most of the time I have a good experience from Future Bazaar, Sir India, or India Plaza. Unfortunately this is my 4th experience with rediff shopping.
Some years ago, I purchase a pair of sneakers, the size I mentioned after winning the auction was size 7, I recieved a pair which was size 10. I wrote many emails to rediff, after almost a month of communication, I received the right pair size 7. But can you beleive the courier who came to deliever had not instructions to pick up the size 10. I kept it with me for a while in hope that some day some one would contact me for it. But nobody bothered....so in this case it was like a bonus for the mistake they made.....but its this a good system ?
I next, saw a lovely picture of sunglasses, 4 in the picture, fancy different shades, so I bid for it and won it at Rs.560. I was happy, assuming I struck a good deal. I did received my shades, but not four , just a single one, and guess what a Bobby Deol colour....Oh gosh, I tried contacting rediff , but nothing happen here, I shoudl have read the fine print. I ended up paying a high price, maybe that was their way of getting paid for the size 10 sneakers.
Am such a sucker, I again went back to rediff to buy a bundle deal, this was too tempting, 7 items were clubbed together for aneat price, this time I never took chance read the fine print.
I got all 7 items, but all in dribs and drabs, it did not come to me together....and the final delivery of all the items took 3 weeks.
So I learnt a bitter lesson, I switched off rediff shopping, removed it from my favorite list. And started shopping else where.
It been years now since am back, I purchase cordless phone on the 11th July, 2008, till date I have not received it. I sent several emails to rediff, but the support does not seem to help, I just receive messages saying they would revert back to me in 48 hours blah blah....I called the supplier, he told me the item was sent, but got returned bec the door was shut. What door, I wanted delivery to be at my office address. Besides nobody even called me, they have my mobile number.
Now I am unable to contact the dealer, his phone rings, but nobody answers....what should I do now...
I told you am a sucker again yesterday I purchase a laptop for my kid....lets see what happens, this will definately be my last experience...I will get back to you on this one.
