I have burnt my fingers in my first online shopping experience with Shoppers Stop. I had ordered baby products from SS. firstly it took them more than one week to deliver half of the ordered product within mumbai but when the products actually arrived I got shock of my life.
All the products except baby rash cream was worn out and it seemed it is the left over of the warehouse which is just stuffed n torn packing and dispatched. after taking up the matter with Cust care and several phone calls I could find replacement for baby feeding bottles but other items were taken back for replacement but replacement never came. after few days I was informed that my order was cancelled and was advised to place fresh order. I placed second order and surprise- surprised the same item was again delivered to me for which i'm still awaiting a replacement.
I thought that this must be one of the rare cases as I always thought high of SS customer service. I placed another order in march first week. again I waited for 10 days and no item was supplied but my order was cancelled again. They were very prompt in cancelling my order but failed to refund my gift voucher used during the purchase. i'm still struggling to get the same after several calls and e-mails.
So following is the highlights of online shopping with shoppers stop.
1. Item are available for purchase even if it is NIL in stock.
2. Even when the order confirmation is given it is done without checking the stock position.
3. Items supplied are soiled/used and substandered.
4. The customer care trash your mail without even bothering to read it (i have proof of this).
So beware you must have enough stock of any item before you order it online from shoppers stop because firstly you are not sure whether you will get it and even if u get it you will be able to use it. you can shop only if you are doing it for fun when you are not bothered if the items come or not but have a great experience of shopping online.
