Pathetic Service from Shoppers Stop

I want you to know how disappointed I'm with Esprit Watch which I had bought as I loved the brand in shoppers stop.


Quality of watch was really pathetic, as its leather belt is spoiled and also colour of the dial is fading day by day.


I approached Shoppers Stop (Koramangala - Bangalore) where I had bought the watch, but unfortunately I was late by 23 days from my warranty period of 2 years. I was in my home town (Udupi) from past one month (returned to b'lore on 29th Oct in bus - Durgamba - seat No.31 for your reference) where there are no service centre or Shoppers Stop show room to reach out . However, Executive and the manager is not ready to accept my request to service the watch due to lapse of warranty and they want me to pay for it though i'm late by only 23 days due to genuine reason. I had not paid 6500 INR for such a bad product and service.


I am extremely unhappy with the service and the performance of the product.


I have 600 friends in Facebook, 300 connections in Linked In, and 1500 employees in my office. I can spread bad word of mouth about the brand to my connections and also planning to create page in Facebook to make others also aware about it. It may hamper brand equity of Esprit and have an adverse effect on its sales during this festive season. If it affects at least 5% of my contacts it may lead to opportunity loss of 6, 00, 000 INR for the brand through sales and I don't know to calculate loss for the brand name.


I request you to please provide solution to this issue and help me to get a solution or replacement for this Watch. I still have my warranty card with me.


Hope to see better results from you to protect your brand image as you spend so much to build brand equity in premium products through promotions and ads.
