Shopclues-v.bad experience-wrong product & returns

Planning to buy from Shopclues online. Read my experience thoroughly before doing so.


4th July’15-> ordered(no:59475191) 2 pairs of Gofit  Ankle support with knee support(code: 75155122)


16th July’15 -> received two Nivia ankle supports only both for right foot, no knee supports.


17th July’15 -> posted return request to shopclues


23rd July’15-> asked to return product by self and pick-up services not available for Karaikal. Was promised replacement of product & upto Rs 300 as cluebucks in lieu of courier charges


28th July’15-> returned complete product along with the invoice copy through DTDC courier no: C61421403. Courier charges Rs 160/-


4th Aug’15->Returned due to “RECEIVER REFUSE DELIVERY" as “the parcel not in Intact_Automation condition”. Shopclues asked me to courier the product again. When I protested they gave me a token for dropping off the parcel at the local Blue Dart office.


Note: I had read consumer complaints from clients of shopclues whose returns have not been accepted two or more time.


13th Aug’15-> received the returned product


14th Aug’15-> handed over the same parcel returned by Shopclues to Blue Dart.


19th Aug’15-> received email from Shopclues that the money will be refunded.(Shopclues went back on their promise of replacement. I had not ordered the supports from any other site till then)


1st Sept’15-> Send reminder to Shopclues for refund of product cost & courier charges.


8th Sept’15-> Received refund of product cost only. Courier charges of Rs 160/- yet to be refunded.


Note: I had wrong product delivered twice earlier too. But, this is the first time I am trying for return.


Disheartening was that I CC ied my complaints to some directors of shopclues too. But they did not respond to any of my emails. Suggestions based on my experiences;




  1. Order from merchants with high ratings




  2. Do not buy cheap products - they could be duplicate or damaged




  3. Do not return by aishwaryasingh23ing courier charges. Let Shopclues arrange & aishwaryasingh23 the courier
