Below are the sequence of events which I faced while shopping with Shopclues. I am sure many other buyers would have faced the same.


24 March 2016: Ordered the printer from Shopclues as it was out of stock on flipkart and expensive on Amazon.


27 March 2016: Product reached Bangalore but was not delivered 5 days being in the same city.


1 April 2016: After lot of calls finally decided to go to their courier address and picked it up myself.


There was no labeling and protection on the packaging, no wonder they cant deliver the product without the shipping address on the packaging.


There was no bill or invoice provided.


On opening the packaging I noticed the the packaging was tampered with. Further the protective covers on the printers were missing.


Further the Printer was dead on arrival, it was not powering on.


So I raised the request for return of the product and refund to my bank account.


4 April 2016: My return was rejected and the reason provided was that the product is covered under 1 year manufacture warranty.


I called them and told: 1. Product was tampered. 2. No Invoice/Bill 3. Product dead on arrival.


After being on call for half an hour and talking to lot of people I was told they will provide me with a invoice so that I can go to the HP Service Center.( I explained that is of no use as the product is tampered and not covered under manufacture warranty but was of no use)


7 April 2016: I receive a PDF invoice with my name incorrect and with no signature and stamp.


So I checkup with the HP website for warranty period with the help of the product serial no. The website showed already 8 months has passed in the warranty and only 4 months left.


8 April to 10 April 2016: Shopclues didnt change the invoice, so finally had to take a day off went to HP service center which is 30 KM away carrying a 7 KG printer on my two wheeler . So the service center told product is dead. On requesting for refund I was told to contact the seller.


13 April 2016: Submitted the HP service center report to Shopclues.


14 April 2016: Got a mail that my return request was accepted finally. I was relieved, then I checked the return request and they have changed the Action from Refund to Repair and Replacement.


After calling them again they say they cannot commit for a refund and will repair the printer and send it back. So in the end I will be stuck with the same printer with no warranty and wrong bill/invoice if ever they manage to pick it up, repair it and send it back which is highly unlikely.


It will be a month if ever I get my refund. I would consider myself lucky if that happens.


Conclusion: After sales service provided by Shopclues is as bad as it gets. Customer care takes two days to register a complaint and then replies back they will resolve the issue in 4 working days.


Return policy is a joke for them.


I have returned the product back on other websites but never faced such a issue. Because of websites like this people are scared to shop online and rightly so. Even if shopclues will be giving something for free I wont be buying anything from them ever again.
