Have free time now hence writing this review..Well.. One of my Friend addicted of Shivyog insisted and I agreed to attend a Shivir. 7 days in Delhi 2011 Dec. This was my first interaction with any kind of spiritual baba. My friend who recommened this is like my brother so I said lets try.. Came to know that I need to pay for attending Shivir.. ok.. 15000 Rs..
Day before Shivir.. you need to go and collect hall ticket.. it was horrible exp.. anyway..attended the Shivir all days.. it was all good learning and relaxing... In fact I live with the same principles (which baba said) so there was nothing new for me.. well still I tried to capture as much I could. Here is my analysis and sorry if I am hurting any of baba jee fans..
This guy (shivanand baba) is just an ordinary person. folks treating him like god are fool.
Yes whatever he teaches are very much true.. we all need to imbibe this in our life..
He is just making money by winning the trust of all his followers.. just like any other baba.. take Nirmal baba as example..
I saw that he is now planning to transfer his business to his son Ishan..
He did give some mantras etc..saying that these are secret etc.. after googling I found that these are part of well published granthas.
----------- Incidents due to which I decided not to attend his Shivirs again..
He sells the tickets for his Shivir to make money.. person paying more gets front seat.. paying less gets back seat.. well I understand that he needs to recover venue rental but fees are too high..
he has also opened shop where he tries to sell stuff saying these are pure stuff with some energy waves.. ha ha ha..
One of the statement he said we shouldn't wear watch... fact is his own son wears expensive watch.
Guru Mata.. I only saw her sleeping during entire Shivir.
Modus Operandi -- He will sing some devotional songs.. due to which your heart beat will increase and at the end you will feel nice.. Same thing happens my friend if you exercise.. nothing new.. you can do the same at home.. why to pay baba for the same
One of the statement he said that you shouldn't allow anyone to touch you forehead becuase he may steal your energy through forehead.. What an andhvishwas.. comon guys .. apply your own brain.
He keeps advocating about Cows... What about other animals... For me I consider cow and dog as equal.. both would get same treatment from me ..
Whatever he tells is nothing news.. its a mix of yoga and few slokas... you don't need to pay so much to learn this.. he has devised his own way of mediation which he calls shivyog.. common guys try any other form of meditation (staring at candle light etc) and you will feel the same..
There are many more but I will stop now..
Folks who are in Shivanan's Changul won't understand it... in fact same is true for folks who follow other babas... My own Aunty is a follower of Nirmal baba and till now I have failed to convince her that Nirmal baba is a chor... :) :) :)..
