Love can happen at any age, well even at 40. The movie SFTNP defines love at 40 with a gusto. It is one of the best romantic comedies of the year 2012. The family of cloth merchant Boman is searching to find a suitable bride for him within the Parsi community which they fail to get as everyone's rejects him for dealing with undergarments. On the other side the 40+ Farhan too is not getting a groom. They meet while shopping and fall in love. The story proceeds as after many incidents it has a happy ending. Story (Sanjay Leela Bansali), direction(Bela Sehgal) and performances by Boman Irani, Farah Khan , Kavin Dave, Shammi , Kurush Devu and Daisy Irani are all praiseworthy.
This is Farah Khan's debut film but the ace choreographer turned director turned actor doesn't let the audience understand that . However, it is Boman Irani who steals the show with his quintessential powerpacked performance. The cinematography by Mahesh Aney is beautiful and captures the essence of the film perfectly. Jeet Ganguly's music is humming and the use of various hit Hindi movie songs as parody makes the music more loveable. But why did he bring his hit Bengali movie song's tunes for this film is not really understandable. Again, SFTNP proves that if the story and direction are good then there is no need of a six-pack hero or a zero figure heroine to make a movie hit.
