From last 40 years my family is visiting this place. My family members are devotees of Sai baba and have deep connection to this place.
There are many ways to visit this place and accessing this place is not an issue. Government Buses, trains, private vehicles are the options to choose from. You can also reach this place by Air but there is no airport yet for Shirdi and you will have to land at Nashik airport and then come to Shirdi.
There are great number of hotels, guest houses, available here. If you are coming at Gurupornima, Dusshera, New Year then do book hotels in advance as they are full and you might find difficulty to get a room. You will find great number of devotees thronging this place on these days.
There are number of good restaurants here and not to forget the big dining place by the Sai Trust for the devotees to have prasad.
Once you come here you will find yourself dipped into the spiritual atmosphere. Thursday is a special day here and the place is crowded with devotees on this day. The palki procession takes place on every thursday.
There is a good security inside the temple and around the temple area. The police is found patrolling the place now and then.
