Only few knows that Shimla was the capital of Punjab after Independence and later it become Himachal’s capital. Himachal Pradesh is most beautiful place on earth. The beauty, people, culture of Himachal Pradesh is very vast and amazing. At Himachal Pradesh, there are so many Historical and Cultural locations. Shimla is one of them. The name Shimla was derived from Shyamala Devi who was also known as Goddess Kali. Shimla was also well known for 1972’s Shimla Agreement. This beautiful city was the capital or the summer capital of British India in 1864. Shimla is best holiday destination. Shimla’s altitude is 2, 206 meters above sea level. Jakhoo Temple / Jakhoo Hill is the highest point in Shimla and its height is 2, 454 meters. The average temperature in summer time is between 18 to 28 degree and in winters the temp. is between -1 to 10 degree. Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital is also there.
There are so many Locations at Shimla that are big attraction for tourists from all across the world and that all are: - Jakhoo Temple, Ridge, Mall Road and Kalka- Shimla Railway, Christ Church etc. Shimla is Queen of Hills. Rashtrapati Niwas is also located here which was built in 1888.
If planning to go to Shimla, then Spring Climate is best. In Spring time whole Shimla get colored with different colors of flower. There is sweet smell everywhere and Winter is great time to visit here. In winter the beauty of Shimla is incredible. There are large number of Hotels in Shimla so you do not have to worry about it. Food of Shimla is very best, you can ty here Indian food, Punjabi food, Chinese food etc. People of Shimla are very king and helpful. Shopkeepers are also very nice. You can do shopping here. Transportation is very nice here you hire a taxi, take bus or even you can take bike or car on rent for a day. Shimla Railway is best, you can go to Kalka, Solan by Railway. The best thing about this place is that you can come here on any month of year, this place looks amazing. In Summer, Winter, Spring all the Climates are best to visit here. In rainy climate roads become very dangerous, so Rainy Climate is not best.
Shimla is best place to visit with Family, Friends or even alone. If you are in stress or in any tension just come to Shimla and you will forget all your problems. Shimla is best destination to visit and it is the place where you can feel the beauty of nature.
