When was the last time you enjoyed your studies whole-heartedly? Well, we don't really remember it, do we? Shikshanachya Aaicho Gho is one movie that forces us to think as to where exactly our education system has gone wrong and why students are not happy with the kind of studies they are being imparted in their schools. Though the movie is really short compare to other Marathi movies that are currently running in the movie halls, Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho is an interesting movie for the entire family.

Though, Bharat Jadhav takes most of the on-screen time, the plot revolves around his son Shree (Saksham Kulkarni) who is just an average student in his school, but has a passion for playing cricket. Shree always shows his talent while playing cricket which is appreciate by few coaches around him. However, Bharat Jadhav is too involved working hard and forcing his son to study harder and to get good marks for the scholarship, but Shree's average intellect and interest in studies spoils the situation and Bharat Jadhav in a fit of rage goes beyond the limit of hitting his son so hard that he goes into coma. This is exactly when the story takes a turn and makes it more interesting.

The movie questions the parents who are forcing their kids into the rat race of getting grades and bringing pride to the family. It is also an eye-opener for us to see if the kids are really taught something that they can use in their practical life or are we just dumping our kids the same kind of knowledge that were once dumped on us when we were kids. Credit goes to the director for bringing out the corruption involved inside the educational system like not using the old notebooks because it will hamper the sale of new notebooks and changing just a few chapters in the syllabus in order to earn extra money through printing press.

Though, the movie is really short and the climax of the movie is not very convincing with the story line. The strong point of the movie are the dialogues which are really caustic and makes you think twice. Conversational scenes where a school kid with loaded school bag is compared to a railway porter are really thought-provoking. The music is of the movie is not as good as it was in Mahesh Manjrekar's last directorial attempt "Mi Shivaji Raje Bhonsle Boltoy", but still it goes well with the story. Performances from Bharat Jadhav and Gauri Vaidya are watchable. Siddharth Jadhav does fine role as a Muslim underworld thug.

Overall, the movie is a nice watch that not only entertains but also educates.
