I purchased Sharp SJ-K35s-s refrigerator on November 29, 2014 from TMC branch, Abids branch, Hyderabad. The company executive came on December 1, 2014 and did installation. The refrigerator was working fine technically. However, there has been a small dent on refrigerator door, which can be noticed only up on keen observation. I have identified this on December 2, 2014 but have not raised the issue as the dent is hardly seen.
Few days later, I thought of raising the complaint as I felt I need to at least inform the showroom i.e.TMC about the issue. I discussed the issue with TMC on Jan 6th, 2014 and they have forwarded the complaint to Sharp.
On the same day, the executive from Sharp called me and said that even though if the dent could have been a manufacturing defect or may have caused during transit (it was made in Thailand and imported to India), the company will not do anything at free of cost as the issue has been raised 1 month later. He said they will change the refrigerator door for some amount. I said no thanks. The dent is in such a way that there is high probability that it's a manufacturing flaw.
The executive agrees with me and it says it could be, but yet, they will replace the refrigerator door only for extra sum.
