Shaniwarwada is a historic place standing still from peshwas time and even till today it's outer part is preserved, the great peshwas who built it had this place as their administration center and they also lived here, shaniwarwada has a great historical importantance in Marathi history as many of wars have been associated with this place, shaniwarwada is in centre's of city with only 3 km away from pune station and all modes of transportation are available to come here, this place is a good place for photography and to make small children understand the great history and Marathi culture, coming towards main fort.
1) the main door is a big wooden and cast iron block which is very huge and build to stop enemy armies, now a great place for taking photos.
2) the garden inside fort is well maintained and he many plants of peshwas age.
3) the side walls of the fort, we can walk over this walls and see the buzz of city roads a great view observed
Overall a good place for 2 to 3 hours and can be traveled with family or couples
