I feel laughable when someone compares Sharukh khan with Aamir khan..i think its an insult to the calibre of Aamir khan.Only by giving hits one cannot become a Great actor..Example Rajesh khanna has given many hits and superhits but in terms of acting you cannot compare him to likes of Kamal hasan and Balraj sahni who may have given less number of hits.Its the same case when one compares Aamir khan and Shahrukh khan.They both belong to complete differant schools of acting.Shahrukh khan belongs to school of acting where his fans are lovebugged teenagers,housewifes and girls who dont know anything about acting whereas Aamir khan is a thinking man's actor.If you asks anyone who knows even a bit what acting means you will get what the answer is..and the answer is offcourse Aamir khan.I liked shahrukh's acting only in few movies like kabhi haan kabhi na,swades and DDLJ.Lets compare the acting skills of both.Somebody told in this forum that he doesnt like how Aamir cries onscreen..how pathetic!!just bring the dvd of k3g and rang de basanti and watch the scenes where they both have crying sequences.The one in k3g when srk cries in front of jaya bachchan.you will come to know how badly shahrukh has done that crying scene and see the breakdown scene of Aamir khan in front of Sue in rang de basanti and you will know the differance between them.Ok lets start from all kinds of role.
1.Negative role-shahrukh has done many like darr where he overacted,anjaam repitativr only bazigarr I think was ok whereas Aamir khan has done only one negative role(cos he does one film a year) in Earth 1947.how brilliantly he portrayed the role of a astogonished lover.he doesnt overacts but you can see anger in his eyes.
2.Tapori roles-Shahrukh played in raam jaane and josh and aamir in Rangeela and Ghulam.Raam jaane was a big flop after a superhit like DDLJ and josh was just average whereas both Rangeela and Ghulam were superhits which made careers of ramgopal verma,urmila.vikram bhatt and rani mukherjee.Aamir's character Munna of rangeela is still remembered and where is raam aane and max??
3.Cop drama-Shahrukh had played one in One two ka four and Aamir in SARFORASH.Do you know what is the name of the character of Srk in one two ka four??one two ka four was a big flop whereas Sarfarosh was a superhit.
4.Socially relevent movies-Sharukh has done SWADES wheras Aamir has done Rang de basanti.Allthogh Shahrukh acted nicely in Swades it was a nice movie it was a box office dud because audience doesnot like srk in serious movies,they only want mushy mushy love stories from him whereas Rang de basanti is one of the biggest hits of the decade.
5.Hisorical movies- Srk had asoka ,devdas and paheli asoka and paheli were box office flops devdas was hit.Aamir has Lagaan and Mangal pandey.Lagaan was a superhit,nominated for oscars.Devdes and Paheli were also sent but both failed to get nomination.Mangal pandey was an average garner not a flop.
6.Romantic movies-This is the only kind of movies where shahrukh scores above Aamir thats because all hits of shahrukh were romantic except darr and bazigar.Aamir has also done good romantic movies loke QSQT,Dil,raja hindustani and Fanaa
7.Pathbreaking movies-Srk has done very few pathbreaking movies loke Dil se brilliant movie but a big flop,kabhi haan kabhi naa average garner at the box office,Swades a flop and Paheli a flop Wheras Aamir has done many like Sarfarosh(superhit),Lagaan(suerhit),Dil dhahta hai(hit,a trendsetter of sort),Rang de basanti(super duper hit)
