I visited the Shah electronics store in Anna Nagar to buy a refrigerator. I had asked for a 500 Rs discount on the model that I selected from the price that the sales person quoted. I was offered the same. The sales person agreed that the old fridge from my home will be taken for 700 Rs. I was ok with the deal and proceeded with the payment. The fridge was delivered.
Even when I was in the store, there was another person complaining that he was delivered the display model. He was very upset about the same. I noticed that this happened.
The fridge was delivered. The fridge looked like a used fridge. I called Samsung help line number and told them that there is a leakage of fluid in the door. The Samsung help line person came home and told that that was normal. I knew he was working hand in hand with the Shah electronics. Later in the evening I went to the store and found that the display piece was not present there. I then realized that the fridge that was delivered to my home was a display piece. For the discount of 500 Rs the display fridge was delivered.
The torture did not stop here. The person who came to pick up the old fridge told that the condition of the fridge is worse and paid only 300 Rs for the old fridge.
In totality I got a discount of Rs 100 for a display fridge which is very unfair on Shah Electronics.
I would definitely not recommend any of these local Electronics shop. Always buy from Croma or from Reliance Digital or any other trusted electronics store.
