I watched this movie since I went to the movie hall and there was no other show at a convenient time.
But contrary to my expectation, this movie was real FUN!!!!
Now, let me warn you this! BRAINS are to be kept aside while watching da movie.
Da movie is about this Hypochondriac(Akshaye) in love with this girl(Ayesha Takia) and is engaged to be married with her.
Akshaye overhears his doc speaking over da phone with another specialist of one young patient having CANCER. He gets da impression that it is him, and that he doesnt have very long to live.
Da entire plot revolves around how Akshaye (in poora FILMY style) tries to get out of the engagement so that it saves his girlfriend the pain. And one of his mediums to get Ayesha to dislike her is Mallika Sherawat
The beginning, in fact, was not da best for me since most of the humor was off the jokes or shairis or mad ads we've read in forwarded emails or heard amongst college friends. Like da ''Bournvita'' or ''Rupa underwear'' ads.
Da previews found me not liking the Akshay khanna look, but da movie he was quite funnily cute.
Ayesha Takia doesnt look very happening but does a good job of her role.
Well, the movie also features Aftab, who flitted in and out a few times.
Mallika says ''When she's good she's good, when she's bad she's Better''. I agree!!! She was better playing da naughty girls than in this role. She does ham a bit.
Suniel Shetty doesnt commend much comment.
Rajpal Yadav was not very happening either.
So what is it that is so great of Da Movie???
2 things, actually!
a. A great Script
b. Rocking performance by Akshaye!
Da humour is quite funny (Also remember my initial warning. No brains). Amazing jokes. Has you in splits most of da time.
And Akshaye is so believable as da confused chap.
Satish Kaushik has done well as a director who is out with the intention to make you really LAUGH. Da movie might not be in the league of da Hera Pheri's, but i'll be surprised if it does not gross great profits. Mukta Arts has a winner here.
All in all if you have 2 hours to spare, or if you are looking for a quick stress buster, this is da Movie for you!
