Before we joined, we checked out their stocked movie titles on their website, impressed that they had many good English movies as well as Tamil movies (which we rarely find in any movie clubs in Bombay), we decided to go for the 6 month unlimited membership.
2 months into the membership, and I am forced to say - take it at your own risk.
Problems faced with the service:
- You will see all movie titles in their website, but when you ask for it it is rarely available. The problem is because of their 'no late fees
and keep as long as you want facility'. For people like us, who see a movie in one shot and are ready to return it the next day (they schedule a pick up) this is of no advantage. Rather, it is a big
disadvantage as people never bother to return the VCDs/ DVDs.
- we have to call them each time to schedule a pick up which they are supposed to do and deliver two new movies of your choice within 24
hours. Sometimes we have to be on phone for over 20 minutes trying to figure why we cannot get the movies that we have queued in our membership online, and they will be trying to convince us to take some
other movie.
- After all this it is not sure if your movie will reach you within 24 hours, so more phone calls. If you not at home 24X7, you have to make arrangements to leave the movies with
neighbours/security. If they lose it, it is your loss.
- Even if you get the movies delivered to you finally, there is no assurance that it is of good quality. Just tried watching Namaste London now, the
last 30 minutes of the movie the track kept getting stuck and screeching, couldn't make any sense of the dialogues. Another time, thrice they sent me the same faulty VCD of the movie Meet The Parents.

After having paid some 3500 rupees odd for 6 months, buying Moserbaer
DVDs of your favourite movies at 50 odd bucks seems like a better deal. You can buy 70 movies and thats enough material to watch in 6 months.
As I said, we've got into it and Im soon asking for a refund for this wool-in-the-eyes movie rental service. You please join at your own risk.
