Waste of money and time. Review on Seventymm

I became a member of Seventy mm on 5th Feb 2009 and as of today (24th Feb 2009) I am really fed up with their service. I am eagerly waiting for the month long subscription to end so that I can claim refund of my security deposit. Whether I get the deposit back on time or not is yet to be seen. Will write another review on that. The monthly fee has anyway gone down the drain. I have faced the following problems:

1. They do not have any of the popular and hit movies even from 3Q 2008 !!!

   
   




2. Their DVDs are region coded from all around the world. I guess they buy whatever is cheaper. but this has landed me in trouble that I cannot watch the DVD from regions other that the region my DVD player is set to

   
   




3. Contrary to their claim, they do not deliver on Sundays!!! This has happen to us on every Sunday till now since our subscription ( that is 3 Sundays). The reason they give is "Technical problem"!!! I can understand this for a Robot but how does this affect a human delivering the DVD???

   
   




4. have to be at least 15 minutes on phone to speak to their customer service rep. Once you get through, their system does not usually work and then you have to call back after some time again!!!!

   
   




5. You cannot order a DVD the same day you are delivered a DVD. So even though in theory you can et 30 DVDs in a month, practically it is only 15.

   
   

In short I have wasted my time and money with this online movie DVD site and would like to help others in making a informed decision when evaluating this provider.

I will write another rewiew once I have the experience on how the security refund in handeled.

Edited 26.02.2009 : I cancelled my membership yesterday. Reason : Even after complaining about region coding on the received DVD, they did not replace it!!!

I was wasting a lot of precious time, peace of mind and money on phone calls. Hence decided to cancel the membership even before the completion of 1 month. I am told that the security deposit refund will arrive in 15 days. Let's see how they turn up to their this commitment.
