Sammy is back with Enrique seven

Actully I brought this album cuz I think seven is my luckky number, and it is. I just listen this tracks and got love with its lyrics well this times I am not mentioning lyrics cuz som of MS'sians told me.

Seven is Enrique Iglesias's third English album. His music has captivated me since I first heard Bailamos. I was a bit disappointed in the last English album, but Seven more than makes up for it. The album lists 13 tracks, but there is a hidden track making the total 14.

This album has lost a lot of the Latin flavor that was evident in the first English album. It has the requisite ballads, rock and roll tracks and a couple that have a decidedly techno flavor. A lot of these tracks are good dancing tunes. Enrique co-wrote all the songs on the album--there is some pain in these songs and as well as fun.

I love Enrique's voice and the emotion he puts into his songs. It makes them feel real.

  1. Not In Love--preserves a bit of the Latin flavor--rocking/rolling kind of beat and guitar. The has a good fast pace, good dancing material. Lyrics about a guy trying to convince himself that he is not in love with some sexy girl.

  2. The Way You Touch Me--Tune has a rock and roll feel, with a more driving beat and guitar. Another good dancing tune. Lyrics about a girl that he wants to keep because of the way she ''touches'' him.

  3. Say It--Signature Enrique Ballad. Slow soft guitar and drum. One of those relationship coming to an end songs. ''So I need you to say it. If you want this love to end. Look me in the eye and pretend. That what we have is through.''

  4. California Callin'--fast ballad? Has a study up-beat, soft guitar and a bit of what sounds electric guitar--very slight techno feel. This ones hits home because I am the one in California wishing a love that I left behind would come to me. ''California Calling twenty miles to go. And I don't, I don't know. Should I turn around or should I leave you alone?''

  5. Addicted--slow ballad love song, reminds of Hero in a way. This is the current single. Filled with pain and suffering it is.

  6. Break Me, Shake Me--has an eighties sound if it hit some techno-(I really don't know what to compare this one to)--some interesting mixing going on in this song. Has a upbeat tune. You can definitely dance to this one. ''If you feel you have to test me before you be my girl. Then you can shake me. And you can Break me. But you can't make me(Kill our love).

  7. Free--sexy song got a driving beat with an interesting guitar in it. About being Free to do whatever is on your mind. Good for dancing just as he is free for the dirty things she likes.

  8. Be Yourself--I got a feeling this one is a little autobiographical. This ones lyrics are about being yourself and doing what it is you want. Talks about how no one thought he could make a living with his music. hmm guess they were wrong. This one has a definite techno feel.

  9. Wish You Were Here--ballad. About meeting the right person at the wrong time--and not being mature enough to realize they were what you really wanted. Ah regret. Soft music.

  10. You Rock Me--Another dancing song with some nice mixing in it, and a rolling beat. ''You rock me all night long''

  11. Roamer--This is one of those I am on the road missing you songs. Its another softer song. The mixing is nice in this one too. unobtrusive beat.

  12. Live It Up Tonight--Nice little song, nice beat that kind of rolls--makes me want to tap my foot. Kind of a break up and get over it song.

  13. Untitled--It's a hidden track--so some players won't play it. And I haven't been able to get at it yet.

  14. Adicto--Spanish version of Addicted. (there had to be one right?)

All in all I am happy with this album. Been dancing around the house to it for more than three months since I got it. Singing along and genuinely having a good time with it. Besides his traditional ballads, its a bit different then we expect from Enrique--but if you liked his other albums you won't be disappointed in this one. You would also like this album if you want something good to dance to, several of the songs have a nice beat that calls out to you to dance.
