Mandira was part of one of the longest running afternoon soap in Indian Idiot Box history named Shanti. After that she also featured in the Dilwale Dulhaniya in a small role. But till that time, she was never a hot-shot.
Meanwhile, she married the Director Raj Kaushal (Of Pyar mein Kabhi Kabhi ) !

For the first time in India, a lady with inviting clothes sharing the commentary table with Kapil, Charu sharma, Chappell, Vinod Kambli...
For a few moments when we saw her on our TV sets commenting on cricket, most of the people were not able to close their eyes....The eyeballs popped out ! For a few matches, the male audience watched, rather than listening !
Day by day, the neckline plunged revealing Mandira as well as her low IQ on cricket...
But Mandira was liked for two things. 1. Her ''Never say Die'' attitude for the Indian team 2. Her entertainment during the boring breaks...

The Mini World Cup approached and Mandira was everywhere in Mumbai...She was I n nets, she was in long leg... showing long leg... Pooja Bedi can also feature in long leg ad, Yukta Mukhi can also stake her claim for it.
Mandira in nets was as if she is signalling a wide ball....
We quipped at the innovative campaign of the Setmax....but Mandira exploded here by putting Jaques Kallis at 9th position instead of Lance Clusener...Interestingly neither Kallis nor Clusener comes at number 9th...
Sincerely, now time to put Mandira in Touring Team (Like Parthiv Patel, Sanjay Bangar) or on a gun-point (I mean drop her down from Setmax)...because sex sells..not always !

And what about selling Shahrukh Khan... A few minutes back, ''Guddu'' was getting played on one of the cable channel... My five year nephew exclaimed '' Shahrukh looks so young '' !!! Frankly, bollywood is not obsessed with the grey hairs except Amitabh's white beard ! Seriously.....
