Had gone to Zara last week along with some friends, we noticed that theplace is quite strict on dress code, everyone had to be in trousers andshoes, this is being checked by the person at the entrance as you go upthe stairs. Pretty neat I thought.
Was shocked to notice when we were inside a foreigner walking inwearing shorts and floaters. What did this denote? nothing other thanthe fact that the rules for foreigners and locals were different. Ittotally put us off.
There is so much talk of discrimination in society in foreigncountries and we seem to be practising the same in our own country, itleft a very bad taste in our mouths.
Have passed on this feedback to the staff there, I hope they do something about it.
These kind of practises are followed in other outlets too, request readers to check if it happens when they are there and escalate it to the right people, share it with others. we should not take it lying down.
