Story:

“Selling the wheel: Bhagvad Gita of Sales" An absolute must for marketing people. It is a business novel. In my opinion, it has to be the second best business novel ever written. (Of course, first is: “The Goal”).

But, it is undoubtedly the best for sales field. Good thing about this book is its simplicity. Some of the most important aspects of sales are so easily explained that no one will have any doubt in understanding Sales field. Even if you are not from sales background, you will gat as much as any other sales person from this business novel.

It never loses its purpose to give us knowledge of sales. It is covering every aspect of sales. No matter your company is in which field, you will definitely find it in the great story of selling the wheel. Knowledge gained from the survey of various companies over the period of 25 years and it is accommodated with very interesting story. What else do you need?

Story is really exciting. It is story of Max and Minnie who invented the wheel. Yes, it is true. Just imagine that wheel was never used and they have invented them. Now, Max knew that it is the revolutionary concept. He tried to sell the wheel which he has made after working for years. But the problem is, no one really want to buy it. Not even want to look at it. And why? They are happy without wheels. They have been living for years without wheels. My life is as good or as bad as others. So why should I buy wheels? This is frustrating for Max. Truly brilliant idea and yet no one wants to buy it.

This is where the story begins. And in the end of this story, every one in this world is using wheel and every big or small company is into wheel business. Competition is so high that every one is literally fighting for every penny and every small customer. In this whole story, Max’s company remains the market leader. Why? What is so special about Max’s company? You have to read the book or, let me put it in this way, go through the whole journey of wheel (or any other product, here wheel is taken for example) to get to know about simple, real, practical and brilliant concepts of sales.

The main idea of the book is to give knowledge. And it succeeds in doing that. How you have to change your strategy for sales according to various market conditions is lucidly explained in this book. This novel also highlights the different choices available to any company during the transition phase. Every time, some key concepts are written separately as a note and summary is given at every stage for different market conditions and at the end of the book. What are the different kinds of sales people and when should we use them? If you want to know all this, then believe me this is the best book in this world. Just go for it. Really funny and simple book. But do take this novel seriously; it can change your fortune.
