Introduction: Last week I was in Delhi and to enjoy the festival of colours Holi with my family. On Sunday we decided to spend our Quality Time in Select City Walk. We were smiling as we entered the Mall from Shopper Stoppe side and after three hours of Roaming inside we came out with a new vigour and energy to come back again.
Ambience: As seen on photos uploaded by fellow MSians the Ambience was superb. Lot many RichLook shops and eateries were eye catching with beautiful people moving around. It was giving me a look of an International Standard. It was an amazing sight of picture perfect views where shooting of any Movie was possible and some times we found people resembling with Bollywood Stars out there. Excellent section of Class visitors and only other thing we take care of along with Ambience is the People around us. Enough space to move around and run with kids is a big plus point for any Mall.
PANTALOONS: On the Ground floor we loved the Pantaloons show room and started weighing Quality versus Cost. Some of the Garments were eye catching and could not stop us from Trials. And trails means half sold for any Store. Credit Card and preplanned limit(>Rs 3000) to spend money after Harry's Review saved me from the thoughtless purchase. But I rate Pataloons in Bhubneswar(BBSR) better beacuse of so many freebies and loyalty priviliges attached. Saleman in Delhi is trained for Delhi Store only. Where as BBSR wala was telling he is linked to all India Channel. It was good handling by BBSR that I was lured into Delhi Pantaloons. Will write more about BBSR Pantaloon as I am back in BBSR.
BARISTA: I was shocked to see Barista behaving like Piza Huts and asking for ten minutes times please.Who cares. I blew them off for a six like Shewag with a Slang. I remember and felt sympathetic with them for charging so high because of moron looks and empty chairs, a year back. Here in BBSR I have one with in walking distance and here I Enjoy Nimbu paani worth Rs 30/- once in month on my salary day.
Some Displaced Shops: I could also find out some big named shops which were destroyed by MCD on the pretext of sealing and new MASTER PLAN.
Child Care: In the name of Child care there was fantastic arrangement but not suitable for poor parent like me. I am hopeful that my kids will not have the inferiority complex because they could see and reason out the costly things are not for all. My daughter convinced that she can not sit alone for one hour. American gas baloon for Rs 350/- was like grapes are sour. One more creative thing I liked was you buy an earthen pot for Rs 200+ and paint it with your child with the colours provided and collect it after ten days. We postponed this activity for our next visit.
There were three/four floors of attraction and I have missed explaining them floor by floor. Walking here was fun and as we reached fourth floor our legs were not in our control.
FOOD PLAZA !!! This was the ultimate spot for us all and we spent more than an hour here eating and listening to the LIVE BAND, which was Cherry on the TOP.
